WHAT IS INFILL IN SLA

New SLA infill density available is 0% / 20% /50% / 100%. The denser the infill, the heavier the object. Infill density from 0% to 100% as 0% is no infill and 100% is completely solid. For hollow object, standard wall thickness is set to 2mm. Mostly hollow infill is use in large FIGURINE only. do not apply hollow OR any infill below 100% in GEARS, ENCLOSURE, or any thin wall less than 8mm as it will be too brittle or will cause print failure.

WHAT IS INFILL? WHAT DOES IT DO?

Infill is the structure of the material inside a 3D printed part. Just as the underside of a bridge has interconnecting steelwork, 3D printed parts have an infill that manipulates the part’s physical properties, including strength, structure, and weight.

The infill density is the amount of material used for the infill. The denser the infill, the fuller, heavier and (in theory) the stronger the part. Besides weight and strength, buoyancy and material consumption are also affected by density.

Infill density is measured as a percentage: 0% is hollow, and 100% is solid. Most designers stick to 5% leaps. Standard prints range from 15-50% infill, while functional prints (such as engineering parts) have a 50-100% infill.

Figurines have a lower infill of up to 15%. For flexible parts, the infill provides rigidity, with flexibility determined by the material.

The amount of infill you need depends on what object you are creating.

BAMBULAB TPU 95-A

TPU is a popular flexible filament for 3D printing because of its durability. It’s commonly used
to create 3D printing parts that can be flexed, stretched, and blended, and it is not easily

What Is FDM 3D Printing?

Fused deposition modeling, or FDM for short, is a material extrusion method of additive manufacturing where materials are extruded through a nozzle and joined together to create 3D objects.

A typical FDM 3D printer, therefore, takes a polymer-based filament and forces it through a heated nozzle, which melts the material and deposits it in 2D layers on the build platform. While still warm, these layers fuse with each other to eventually create a three-dimensional part.
